The opportunity
Are you an experienced Mechanical Building Designer ready to shape Toronto’s built environment? BPA is looking for a detail-driven, collaborative professional to work on diverse mechanical building systems, with a strong focus on new constructions, interior renovations and building retrofits within the Commercial Office sector
You’ll be involved in every stage of design and coordination—partnering with engineers and technicians, conducting site surveys, preparing analyses and cost estimates, and producing technical documentation. If you’re passionate about building systems and thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team, we’d love to have you help deliver some of Toronto’s most exciting projects.
Your daily impact
Technical design and coordination of various mechanical building systems projects
Work closely with engineers and technicians to develop solutions tailored to client needs and carry out building mechanics projects for various sectors (institutional, office, commercial, cultural and residential)
Survey existing installations alongside the mentor
Analyze, design and adapt installations related to building mechanics
Help produce construction cost estimates
Help draft specifications and technical reports
Provide assistance in regard to site supervision
Your profile
Minimum 5 years of experience in building mechanical design.
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline.
Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit/BIM experience strongly preferred.
Experience attending or supporting client and stakeholder meetings.
EIT, CET, or P.Eng. designation (or eligibility) considered an asset.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
High attention to detail and strong commitment to quality.
