
OTA System Specification Engineer / OTA系统规范工程师 (RD4.0 B3)
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced system engineering professional to act as the primary author of the system's functional requirements and own the System Specification design. In this role, you will bridge the gap between stakeholder needs, software architecture teams, and testing teams using precise engineering language.
Key Responsibilities
1. Requirements Engineering & System Specification
Take ownership of the System Specification design for ASPICE SYS.2 (System Requirements Analysis) and SYS.3 (System Architectural Design).
Act as the primary author of the system's functional requirements.
Collect, analyze, and manage Stakeholder Requirements specifically for OTA (Over-The-Air) and Wired Update functions from After-sales, Production, Post-Production, and Retail.
2. System Testing & Validation
Take accountability for ASPICE SYS.4 (System Integration Testing) and SYS.5 (System Qualification Testing) test results.
Book and manage test resources for SYS.4 and SYS.5, and lead efforts for hot issue reproduction.
Ensure the correctness of functions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Technical Support
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., After-sales, Production), OTA Software Architects, and Function Owners to align system requirements and ensure seamless integration.
Provide technical support to development and testing teams by translating system solutions into precise engineering language to guide accurate implementation and validation.
4. Quality Assurance & Documentation
Ensure ASPICE quality standards and compliance are maintained and resolved throughout the development lifecycle.
Deliver key system documents, including System function specifications, Requirements analysis reports, and Requirements Traceability to upstream documentation.
Organize and maintain peer review records, track the ongoing status of specifications, and report on them regularly.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or above, majoring in automotive engineering, computer science, software engineering, electronic engineering, or other related majors.
3+ years of working experience in automotive system engineering, requirements management, or system specification design.
Experience in automotive system requirements analysis, system architecture design, and test management.
Solid experience in implementing and strictly adhering to ASPICE development processes, specifically Sys.2 through Sys.5.
Experience acting as a bridge between stakeholder needs (After-sales, Production, etc.), software architecture teams, and testing teams.
Knowledge & Skills
Deep understanding of ASPICE quality standards, system engineering principles, and V-model development.
Proficient with requirements management and traceability tools such as DOORS NG, PTC Integrity, Polarion, or Jira.
Ability to translate complex stakeholder and business needs into clear, actionable engineering specifications for developers and testers.
Excellent documentation skills, with strict attention to requirements traceability and status tracking.
Fluent oral and written English communication capability to align with internal teams, cross-functional stakeholders, and global counterparts.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of vehicle OTA (Over-The-Air) update mechanisms, vehicle E/E architecture, and diagnostic protocols.
Experience in testing coordination, test case review, and utilizing test benches or vehicles for issue reproduction.
