Purpose of the Position:

Under general supervision, this position leads GLT automation planning and implementation within MLC1. The scope of the project will include simulations, Simulations, Failure Mode Analysis, IT integration and Budget Planning within the Project. 

Essential Functions

Assist in defining and executing a management development plan with the department E4.                       Establish key performance indicators for the department.                                                                               Organize training and development plans for Logistics Planners within the group.                                       Conducts simulations on several different types of automation to find best fit.                                               Manages the budget within the project                                                                                                           Create proposals for process optimization including business cases outlining SQDCM.                               Maintain a strategic project plan of layout, space, headcount and processes for 3 years in scope.             Evaluate Bill of Material and PFEP for logistics data in conjunction the project          .                             Weekend work and overtime as required.                                                                                                       Will work closely with our central and local IT department on integration of automation with AMS                 Will conduct failure mode analysis and risk assessments around the automation implementation                

Perform safe work practices and participate in trainings and safety programs in a positive and proactive way by following safety rules, procedures, regulations, standards and laws.  Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and injuries to management, including your supervisor, or the Safety Department.
Work safely 100% of the time.

Perform other duties as required. Travel and work weekends as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or in a related area, and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Experience:   

A minimum of three (3) years' of relevant professional experience in the following area(s):

Previous supervisor or Group Leader experience of 3 years. Manufacturing setting with proven analytical and project management skills. Experience in planning processes. 

 

Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.:  

Previous Management experience.                                                                                                                 Six Sigma green belt or higher.                                                                                                             Proven ability to analyze current processes, coordinate recommended trials, and implement measures. 
Proven capability and skills to calculate and plan manpower requirements (associated to both series and project/pilot teams).
Main frame system knowledge: MRS, SAP, R-Plan.
Strong problem solving skills.
Ability to coordinate meetings, prepare material, and to lead and give presentations. (Internal and external to the organization, and to various levels of management – including the management team).

MicroStation, Catia, START
