Lead a production area that delivers life-changing biologics

At AGC Biologics, your leadership will directly impact how biologic medicines are produced and delivered to patients worldwide. As Manufacturing Manager within Downstream Microbial Manufacturing, you step into a pivotal role where strategy meets execution - ensuring that complex production runs safely, efficiently, and at the highest quality standards.

Where operations, leadership, and impact come together

You take full ownership of your production area, ensuring that safety, performance, quality, and compliance go hand in hand across all shifts. Your focus is on creating flow - anticipating risks, solving challenges before they escalate, and keeping production aligned with business priorities.

On a typical week, you move between the shop floor and strategic discussions. You work closely with Shift Supervisors, supporting them in leading their teams while ensuring consistency across shifts. At the same time, you collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain and other internal stakeholders to maintain readiness, resolve issues, and strengthen processes.

You play a key role in translating business goals into daily execution—ensuring that production plans are not just delivered but delivered reliably and sustainably. Whether it’s supporting audits, handling complex deviations, or driving improvements, your decisions shape both performance and culture.

Success in this role means building a production setup that is robust, predictable, and continuously improving—while developing strong leaders who can carry that performance forward.

What will help you succeed

You bring strong experience from GMP-regulated manufacturing and are motivated by leading leaders in a complex production environment. You have solid leadership experience from production, preferably including experience leading through other leaders, and you bring the professional foundation needed to understand and challenge production, quality, and operational priorities. You understand how to balance operational performance with people leadership and thrive in a role where you influence both daily execution and long-term improvements.

To succeed, you likely have:

A relevant degree within biotechnology, engineering, or life sciences

• Significant experience (8+ years) from biologics API or GMP manufacturing with clear relevance to production operations

• Solid and longer leadership experience from production, preferably including leadership of leaders or Shift Supervisors

• Strong understanding of microbial downstream processes and production operations

• Solid knowledge of GMP and quality systems

• Experience from multi-shift setups, CDMOs, or regulatory inspections will further support your success.
