About the role

As a Accountant, you will be responsible for invoicing, recording various accounting entries, and auditing relevant supporting documentation to assure compliance with all relevant legislation applicable. As part of a team of experts, you will contribute to the correct and timely elaboration of the monthly and yearly P&L and Balance Sheets of the company. 

About you 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (mandatory).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or a similar finance role.
  • Knowledge of Romanian Accounting Standards and Romanian Fiscal Code.
  • IFRS knowledge or practical experience working with IFRS reporting is mandatory.
  • Experience working with international companies or multinational environments is considered a strong advantage.
  • Previous experience in the production/manufacturing industry represents an advantage.
  • Experience with intra-community and non-EU transactions is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
  • Fluent English skills, both written and spoken (mandatory).
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Results-oriented, disciplined, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Professional integrity and ethical behavior.

About your responsibilities

  • Monitor and prepare invoices for the sale of goods and delivery of services both internal and external (including intracommunity and export sales);
  • Ensure the existence and audit of the supporting documentation for all issued invoices, in compliance with Romanian legislation and European directives as well as internal procedures in place.
  • Prepare and register revenues in line with statutory legislation and IFRS principles.
  • Prepare and register special stock movements, other than sales, based on relevant documentation.
  • Prepare and register bank statements.
  • Participate in month-end closing procedures by legal requirements and group-imposed standards and deadlines (correlate different analytical situations with a balance sheet like payables, receivables, and advances paid and received. Verify trade receivables/payables, provide accruals);
  • Take an active part in the interim and year-end financial audit.
  • Take an active part in the process of improving the procedures and activity of the company's accounting and finance department.
  • Participate in the inventory processes of the company held during the year.
  • Assist the operation of the company with different reports as and when required.

Responsibilities:
1) Financial Management and Control: Track progress against budgets within established finance systems, and report variances to more senior colleagues.
2) Data Collection and Analysis: Produce accurate reports for others by collecting data from a variety of standard sources and inputting it into standard formats.
3) Data Management: Help others get the most out of data management systems by providing support and advice.
4) Insights and Reporting: Extract and combine data to generate standard reports.
5) Document Preparation: Prepare moderately complex documents using a variety of applications for technology devices, such as standard office software. Also responsible for gathering and summarizing data for reports.
6) Information and Business Advice: Resolve complex queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on policies and/or procedures, referring the most complex issues to others.
7) Financial Policies, Guidelines, and Protocols: Assist with the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols to ensure the company complies with regulations and good financial practice.
8) Operational Compliance: Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards. Obtain authorization from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure.
9) Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.


Educational Requirements: Post-Secondary Non-Tertiary Education

General Experience Requirement: Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems (7 to 12 months)

Managerial Experience Requirement: Very limited (0 to 3 months)
