We are searching for the best talent for a Director of U.S Marketing, Monarch Urology, to be based in Santa Clara, CA.

Purpose:
The Director of U.S. Marketing, Monarch Urology reports to the Head of Global Strategic Marketing and will be responsible for developing and executing the U.S. marketing strategy for Monarch Urology. A key factor in their success will be effectively integrating this strategy into sales execution. They will collaborate with various Monarch functional teams, including Sales, Finance, Global Strategic Marketing, Health Economics & Market Access (HEMA), Healthcare Compliance (HCC), Legal, Corporate Communications, Commercial Operations, Professional Education, and Medical Affairs, as well as with external agencies and strategic partners, to drive the US market introduction of Monarch Urology and lead key commercial initiatives. This individual will build and lead a dedicated team of US marketing professionals for Urology, including the hiring, training, and development of team members, while fostering an inclusive environment where individuals can bring their best selves to work every day. This role requires a forward-thinking, strategic leader who challenges the status quo and is passionate about creating new categories of care in the dynamic and disruptive field of medical robotics.
 
You will be responsible for:

  • Marketing and business planning: Define annual US marketing strategies and tactics to deliver the US Business Plan and drive execution commercially.

  • Data analysis: Develop competitive landscape analysis and market segmentation. Utilize data from strategic insights team, case coverage logs, and other data sources to inform decisions.

  • Product launch & commercialization: Drive launch readiness reviews together with Global Commercial Excellence & Global Marketing. Ensure teams have developed robust go to market strategies for Urology product launches.

  • Brand & content management: Oversee the creation and copy approval of clinical and economic promotional materials, ensuring all messaging, tools, and collateral are supported by robust clinical data and scientific rigor.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with GSM, R&D, finance, supply chain, meeting planners, compliance, legal and other departments in line with J&J Credo.

  • Budgeting and financials: Develop budgets and capital plans to refresh or expand existing demo or simulator pools. Monitor budget, track ROI, and adjust strategies to meet revenue targets.

  • Pricing: Work with leadership team to develop pricing & acquisition model recommendations and make ad hoc pricing decisions when needed across capital & disposables. Communicate all commercial pathways to sales team.

  • Forecasting and modeling: develop two-year forecasts for Urology capital and disposable products taking care to understand new procedural growth areas.

  • Professional and commercial education: Work cross functionally to ensure adequate professional and commercial education programs and certification processes are in place to drive adoption of new products. Work with professional education to drive presence with targeted fellowship/residency programs.

  • Omnichannel messaging: Implement omnichannel marketing campaigns across Urology specialty to capture customer mindshare and growth.

  • Conferences: In conjunction with global strategic marketing, ensure appropriate KOLs are selected to amplify our urology evidence on podium and beyond. Participate as point person and key decision maker for how we show up at US Urology conferences.

  • Physician relationships: Cultivate relationships with Urologists, Endourologists, & Hospital/IDN executives to shape the future of robotics within Urology and build champions/advocacy.

  • Leadership & team development: Hire, mentor, and manage a team of marketing professionals to execute marketing initiatives. Ensure teams have development plans in place.

  • External partners: Own the relationship with U.S. strategic commercial partners. Conduct face to face business reviews and stay connected through regular communication.
     

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum 10+ years of professional marketing/product management/sales experience with at least 3 in urology or robotics MedTech space is required.

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience; MBA preferred.

  • Experience in bringing new novel products to market.

  • Experience leading teams of 2 or more people.

  • Extensive knowledge of brand strategy and positioning, leading strategic frameworks for messaging and campaign development.

  • Understanding of related aspects of brand marketing concepts and principles.

  • Strong project management skills when balancing multiple competing priorities.

  • Experience budgeting and with ROI concepts.

  • An innovative mindset, contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards that push our brand forward.

  • Knowledge and understanding of brand communication channels; print, digital and new media production.

  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of robotics and/or the urology community, including the motivators for action.

  • Ability to develop relationships with key opinion leaders. Modify strategies and tactics when necessary, based on voice of customer and emerging trends.

  • Cross functional team leadership experience required.

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills include developing relationships in all levels of the organization and indirectly influencing business objectives.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as individual contributor or as part of team, while managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing requirements.

  • Travel up to 30% for customer visits and urology meeting attendance.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$172,000.00 - $297,850.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).



This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.



Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
