We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our highly collaborative Personal Injury team based in Sydney CBD on a full-time basis. You will deliver strategic and pragmatic legal advice across a broad-spectrum of Casualty/Public Liability matters. The practice will be focused on personal injury defence and providing coverage advice in NSW and ACT regions. The role will also be mainly servicing Lloyds Syndicates and large deductible insured corporates with a particular focus on advising clients in construction, hospitality and security, retail, sports and leisure sectors. As a Senior Associate, you will receive mentorship and coaching from a tight-knit team of Principals, while also having the resource to delegate to paralegals and legal assistants. Responsibilities Assist Senior Fee Earners with day-to-day conduct of litigated and unlitigated Casualty matters Draft and review contracts, policies, procedures including pleadings, motions and settlement agreements. Providing expert legal advice throughout the litigation process. Liaise with clients, counsel, experts, and other stakeholders. Adhere to firm policies and ensure confidentiality at all times. Attend court appearances in Sydney as and when required. What will help you succeed in this role? Minimum 4 years’ post-admission experience in Casualty or related litigation. Strong drafting and advocacy skills. Collaborative mindset and commitment to high performance. Clear concise legal writing skills. Experience in day-to-day management of litigated files. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products (including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel), along with the willingness to be trained further. A willingness to adopt and utilise AI and new technologies. A proactive attitude with the ability to learn quickly. Excellent organisational and administrative skills. High level of professionalism and ethical standards. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
