Join Wood Mackenzie's Power Markets team and help track the projects, companies, and policies driving this transformation. From utility-scale renewables to data centers, your work will feed the insights that industry leaders rely on to make critical decisions.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain datasets covering power projects, asset transactions, company financials, tenders, and policy developments across global markets
  • Assist in evaluating and validating data from public and proprietary sources, including regulatory agencies, market operators, and developer disclosures, ensuring the quality our clients trust
  • Collaborate with analysts across geographies to deliver timely, consistent market intelligence
  • Contribute to workflow improvements and documentation that keep the team running efficiently

Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a degree (graduating 2027 onwards) in Economics, Energy, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related field

Wood Mackenzie follows a hybrid work structure, however, during the duration of this internship, the successful candidate would highly benefit from being in the office frequently with the team and their line manager.

Applicants must have the legal Right to Work in the country this role is based in. We are unable to sponsor employment visas at this time.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for

  • Strong analytical skills and a sharp eye for detail
  • Genuine curiosity about data management and/or the energy and renewables sector.
  • Comfortable in Excel; database or query tool experience is a bonus
  • A collaborative, inclusive approach with strong communication skills
  • Fluent in English & Mandarin; additional languages—French, or Arabic—are a plus
  • Strong learning mindset and intellectual curiosity about market dynamics and industry trends.
