Together, we must leverage the strength of our team to collaborate globally to optimize connections and share best practices across the Tech Centers.
Role Overview
This role is part of a broader enterprise initiative to establish a Data Context Layer (DCL) — a foundational capability designed to provide consistent, reusable, and scalable context across enterprise data products.
The DCL is intended to address challenges related to data fragmentation, lack of shared semantics, and inconsistent interpretation of data across systems and products. It establishes a unified layer for representing context, relationships, and meaning, enabling downstream products to operate with greater consistency, interoperability, and intelligence.
In addition, the DCL plays a critical role in enabling agentic AI capabilities across the enterprise by providing the structured context and semantic grounding required for intelligent agents to operate reliably. This includes ensuring that agent-driven workflows and decisions are based on consistent, governed, and interpretable data context, reducing risks associated with fragmentation, ambiguity, and lack of control.
Within this initiative, we are seeking an Integration Engineer with strong experience in AWS cloud technologies to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable integrations between enterprise systems, APIs, data platforms, and context services. This role focuses on connecting source systems, platform services, and downstream consumers so that enterprise data context can be delivered reliably and consistently across the organization.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building integrations in cloud environments, working with APIs, event-driven patterns, and operational workflows. Familiarity with data context, semantic systems, ontologies, agentic AI, prompt engineering, and context engineering is preferred, as these integrations may support both traditional application workflows and AI-enabled use cases.
What will you do:
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain integrations between enterprise systems, APIs, and platform services using AWS cloud technologies.
- Build integration patterns for:
- system-to-system communication
- event-driven messaging
- batch and near-real-time data movement
- context publishing and consumption
- secure service orchestration
- Partner with API engineers, platform teams, data engineers, and architects to ensure integrations align to enterprise standards.
- Support connectivity between source systems, context pipelines, semantic services, and downstream applications.
- Ensure integrations are reliable, secure, observable, and production-ready.
- Troubleshoot integration issues and support operational monitoring and incident response.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation to support repeatable release processes.
- Implement authentication, authorization, retry, error handling, and resilience patterns.
- Document integration designs, interfaces, data mappings, and operational support procedures.
- Help enable both conventional enterprise workflows and agentic AI workflows that depend on timely and trusted context delivery.
What should you have
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in integration engineering, software engineering, data engineering, or related technical roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud technologies.
- Experience integrating systems through APIs, messaging, middleware, or event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns, data movement, and service orchestration.
- Experience with logging, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Ability to collaborate with architecture, security, platform, and data teams.
- Familiarity with data context, semantic concepts, or metadata-driven systems.
- Working knowledge of agentic AI, prompt engineering, and context engineering concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, Step Functions, SNS/SQS, EventBridge, Kinesis, ECS/EKS, IAM, CloudWatch, or Glue.
- Familiarity with ontologies, OWL, RDF, knowledge graphs, MCP, A2A, or timbr-like technologies.
- Experience supporting AI-enabled or context-driven systems.
- Background in enterprise data platforms, middleware, or integration platforms.
- Experience with secure integration patterns and API governance.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and observability tooling in AWS.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role means:
- integrations are secure, scalable, and reliable
- enterprise systems can exchange context consistently and efficiently
- failures are detectable, diagnosable, and recoverable
- integrations are easy to maintain and support over time
- the integration layer supports both enterprise applications and AI/agentic workflows
- the platform enables faster onboarding of new systems and use cases
