Our Technology Centers focus on creating a space where teams can come together to deliver business solutions that save and improve lives. An integral part of our company's IT operating model, Tech Centers are globally distributed locations where each IT division has employees to enable our digital transformation journey and drive business outcomes. These locations, in addition to the other sites, are essential to supporting our business and strategy.
A focused group of leaders in each Tech Center helps ensure we can manage and improve each location, from investing in the growth, success, and well-being of our people to making sure colleagues from each IT division feel a sense of belonging, to managing critical emergencies. Together, we must leverage the strength of our team to collaborate globally to optimize connections and share best practices across the Tech Centers.
Role Overview:
This role is part of a broader enterprise initiative to establish a Data Context Layer (DCL) — a foundational capability designed to provide consistent, reusable, and scalable context across enterprise data products.
The DCL is intended to address challenges related to data fragmentation, lack of shared semantics, and inconsistent interpretation of data across systems and products. It establishes a unified layer for representing context, relationships, and meaning, enabling downstream products to operate with greater consistency, interoperability, and intelligence.
In addition, the DCL plays a critical role in enabling agentic AI capabilities across the enterprise by providing the structured context and semantic grounding required for intelligent agents to operate reliably. This includes ensuring that agent-driven workflows and decisions are based on consistent, governed, and interpretable data context, reducing risks associated with fragmentation, ambiguity, and lack of control.
Within this initiative, we are seeking a Platform Engineer with strong experience in AWS cloud technologies and TIMBR-like tools to build and operate the platform capabilities that enable enterprise teams to publish, serve, and consume standardized data context at scale. This role focuses on the underlying infrastructure, automation, and operational components that support context pipelines, semantic services, APIs, knowledge graphs, and self-service consumption.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, automation, and production operations, with familiarity in data context, semantic platforms, ontologies, agentic AI, prompt engineering, and context engineering. The role is highly technical and oriented toward reliable, scalable, and secure platform delivery.
What will you do:
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain platform services and infrastructure supporting enterprise context-serving capabilities.
- Develop automation for provisioning, deployment, scaling, and lifecycle management of platform components.
- Support workloads in AWS and/or TIMBR-like environments used for semantic data access and context delivery.
- Implement and operate shared services for:
- compute and storage
- identity and access control
- monitoring and logging
- CI/CD and release automation
- configuration and secrets management
- backup, recovery, and resilience
- Collaborate with architecture, data engineering, graph engineering, ontology, and product teams to support platform requirements.
- Ensure platform components are secure, observable, scalable, and production-ready.
- Support development-to-production workflows for APIs, pipelines, graph assets, and context services.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and platform issues, and contribute to root cause analysis and remediation.
- Define and maintain platform standards, reusable patterns, and operational runbooks.
- Help ensure the platform can support both traditional enterprise applications and agentic AI workflows that rely on trusted context.
What should you have
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or DevOps roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud technologies.
- Experience building automation and operating production platform services.
- Familiarity with TIMBR or TIMBR-like tools or similar semantic/context-serving environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, monitoring, and deployment patterns.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and operational tooling.
- Familiarity with data context, semantic systems, ontology-driven platforms, or knowledge graphs.
- Working knowledge of agentic AI, prompt engineering, and context engineering concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform.
- Familiarity with RDF, OWL, SPARQL, knowledge graphs, or ontology-based data platforms.
- Experience supporting API platforms, data pipelines, or semantic infrastructure.
- Background in observability, SRE practices, incident management, and capacity planning.
- Experience operating in enterprise or regulated environments.
- Familiarity with zero-trust security patterns and service-to-service authentication.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role means:
- platform services are stable, secure, and scalable
- teams can deploy and operate context-serving capabilities with minimal friction
- AWS and TIMBR-like components integrate cleanly and reliably
- operational visibility and automation reduce support burden
- the platform supports both enterprise and AI/agentic use cases
- the environment is production-ready, maintainable, and easy to evolve
