Job Description
Drive and coordinate the execution of tool room wing to wing with (SQDC)Zero deviation in Safety and Quality. Ensure alignment of different stakeholders to achieve OTD & shop Utilization.
Demonstrate appropriate leadership behavior to guide the team and standard work.
Perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline.
Roles and responsibility:
- Forecast for new tooling Requirements.
- Design machining process & Strategies.
- Tooling Procurement
- Vendor dealing & new vendor developments.
- Tool Data Management.
- Inventory management.
- Special tooling development & execution
- Coordinate with toolroom, NC programmers & Machine shop for uninterrupted Production.
- Ensure error free measurement of tools moving from tool room to machine.
- Technical and standard documentation for tooling functions
- Ensure timely availability of tools, documents & other deliverables as per Plan.
- On job support to shop floor & problem solving
- Driving Improvement projects for Cost reduction
- Conduct cutting tool trials and focus on process stabilization & optimization.
- Mobilize local supplier for onsite support and new development whenever needed.
- Support to NC programming team for virtual environment of machining like tool catalogue, 3d tool assembly, Tool sheet & Tool list preparation.
- Support to process engineering team for better manufacturing process Improvements
- lead and guide the team to develop & execute objectives for self & others with alignment to short-term & long-term business goals of the organization.
- Finalize annual budget for Project & inventory tooling.
- Submit the new project enquiries with probable tooling budgetary cost.
- Maintaining 5s and Safety at the workplace
- Training and development of subordinates and colleagues
- Ensure correct allocation of resources to make the Lean concepts deployment a success, make problems visible, and allow problem solving to take place.
- Control, Organise, monitor production operations as per plan, implement corrective action as necessary. Make recovery plan for delays, implement, and ensure targets agreed are achieved.
- Promote Open Reporting on any quality concern.
- Lead and Drive Root Cause analysis for any NCRs/Customer Feedback
- Change Management monitoring.
- Ensures experience and lessons learned are properly fed back to FMEA analysis.
- Understanding of nuclear safety culture and ITNS-I & A (Important To Nuclear Safety- Item & Activity).
- Awareness of CFSI (Counterfeiting Fraudulent Suspect Items) and ITNS-I (Importance to nuclear Safety) & ensuring the nuclear culture with team members.
Basic Qualifications(requirements):
- Diploma in Mechanical /ITI Machinist or equivalent.
- 7+ years hands on experience in Manufacturing engineering
- 3+ years of experience in Catia V5 CAD CAM software in terms of Part Design, strategy
- Software Knowledge of Catia V5, AutoCAD, Power PLM, MS-Office, SAP etc.
- Basic knowledge of Zoller, Kardex smart Inventory management System & TDM Software
- Experience in people management/leadership.

- Lean Mindset and understanding of lean tool. (Kaizen,5S, PSR, FMEA etc.)
- Strategic thinking, Logical & process minded, Data Analysis, and Strong problem-solving skills. (PSR)
- Ability to work independently & decision making with high degree of integrity.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with diverse team members & build strong relationships at all levels.
- Ability to coordinate activities of different teams / projects.
