Student Support Specialist (part-time) - 21st Century - Penns Grove 26-27 SY

At the present time, vacancies exist for Part-time Student Support Specialists within the 21st Century Community Learning Center Program, Student Services Division of the CCIU. Currently, there are multiple openings working with middle and high school age students, and supporting English Language Learners and/or academic support students.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required
• Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
• Experience working with bilingual/bicultural students preferred
• Experience working with the applicable age group preferred
• Must have Act 33 and 34 clearances and federal criminal history background check (available through CCIU upon hire)
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation      

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement daily lessons related to student needs
• Provide an engaging environment designed to meet the needs of students
• Implement behavior management strategies that are developmentally appropriate
• Plan and implement a daily learning schedule that includes:
  • Physical movement
  • Social and emotional learning
  • Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) activities
• Maintain student attendance and participation data

Penns Grove Middle School

Schedule:
Monday - Thursday
2:15am - 5:00pm
No program on Fridays

Hourly Rate (2026-2027 School Year):
Project Band 13: $31.82 - $39.77 per hour
*Placement on scale commesurate with years of experience in a relevant position*
