Summary:
The Secretary of Sensory Support Programs performs all secretarial responsibilities in a confidential manner for the Vision & Hearing Services program. Counter-part to Secretary of Psychological Services. Communication and correspondence with Supervisor, parents, staff, van drivers, program participants and various other professionals within the school districts and the Intermediate Unit is important in this position.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Handle a large volume of calls and inquiries from teachers, students, district personnel, agencies, staff and van drivers
- Tracking of all timesheets, attendance, and expense vouchers from staff as they're received
- Act as liaison for the daily communication with all avenues utilizing Vision & Hearing Services
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, photocopying and maintaining all files
- Additional duties as requested by Supervisor
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma required
- Prior experience in secretarial field required, 3+ years experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, File Maker Pro & Microsoft Excel required
Professional or Other Required Clearances:
- Current police, child abuse, and FBI fingerprint clearances within 1 year required
Salary Range (2026-2027 SY):
Support Hay, Band 10, $22.50 - $29.82/hr.
* Placement on band is based on years of direct experience in a comparable role.
260 day position, 7.5 hours per day, 5 days per week
