Job Description
Reporting to the Vice President of Supply Chain, the Technical Production Supervisor is responsible for managing and supporting a technical team who are responsible for the configuration of CCTV, Intrusion, Network, UCaaS equipment and the assembly of equipment cabinets. This includes any other builds and/or configurations necessary prior to deployment to help ensure installation success. The Technical Production team is also responsible for the testing and recertification of equipment for redeployment.
This position works in collaboration with other departments outside the distribution center to streamline productivity with emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency, waste reduction, and productivity.
Responsibilities
Direct the tech production department team performance through monitoring and performance measurement.
Keep current on information and technology affecting functional areas to increase innovation and make appropriate recommendations to leadership, as necessary.
Collaborate with other department heads on build designs and needs, and throughput of component parts and finished goods.
Provide leadership for problem resolution and facilitate improvements and productive working relationships between team members and other departments.
Be a central figure in problem solving through effective root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Be a key advocate for continuous improvement.
Coach and mentor employees to improve performance, and support professional growth and development.
Qualifications
At least five years in a leadership position in technical production or light assembly of electronics
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and ERP systems
Strong understanding of personal computers, computer networks and equipment, CCTV, and intrusion alarm systems
Proficient with the use of hand tools and other hardware
Basic understanding of electronics and wiring
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy, quality of work, and customer service
Demonstrates initiative and ability to handle multiple tasks/responsibilities under pressure.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to work with others and contribute to a positive team/work environment.
Strong organizational skills
