
PreK Interventionist (Part-Time .50)
Job Description
Crystal Lake Elementary District 47 has an opening for an PreK Interventionist, part-time .50. The goal of this position is to provide academic and behavioral interventions for students based on student needs as identified through the MTSS framework.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate data collection, data-based problem solving and data-based decision making through the guidelines of the MTSS framework
- Provide flexible interventions to students identified through the MTSS framework utilizing a variety of tools and resources
- Plan and implement academic and/or behavioral instruction for small groups of students
- Assess the progress of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required
- Communicate with families, teachers, and administrators regarding the progress of students
- Maintain and improve professional competency through trainings and other staff development opportunities
- Attends staff meetings at building and district level and serve on committees as needed
- Participate in curriculum development and district initiatives
- Participate in faculty committees and student activities
- Report to building administrators
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (Early Childhood preferred)
- Bachelor's Degree in Education
- Teaching Experience with English Learners
- Student teaching and/or experience in a PreK-5 classroom (preferred)
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrate high levels of flexibility, effective interpersonal communication skills, articulation, concentration, confidentiality, and organization.
- Physical requirements include sitting, standing, bending, walking and lifting equipment and materials.
