The Role
As a Senior Analyst in B2C Payments Cost, your main responsibilities will be to ensure that all payment-related costs are accurately controlled, validated against partner contracts and aligned with global payment standards. You will play a key role in monitoring cost performance, identifying optimization opportunities and assessing risk areas.
Additionally, you will lead deep-dive analyses into cost structures and recommend scalable solutions to improve cost efficiency. You will stay up to date with industry practices and regulations and proactively propose improvements to the payment set up. The ideal candidate must have excellent investigative skills, problem-solving attitude, great business acumen and project management skills.
Responsibilities
Lead weekly/monthly performance analysis to ensure KPI targets are achieved, providing actionable insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.
Own the review of payment provider contracts, ensuring contractual terms and controls are aligned to achieve financial targets.
Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting and performance evaluation, supporting month-end processes and enabling strategic decision-making.
Analyse large and complex datasets to identify cost variances and opportunities, and initiate deep-dive analyses where required.
Drive initiatives to enhance processes, tools, and automation, with the objective of improving efficiency, accuracy, and cost effectiveness.
Stay up to date with Schemes new regulations, and industry developments, proactively assessing their impact on cost structures and operational set up.
Review and verify Invoices & Reports, ensuring that contractual & Scheme obligations are met.
Collaborate closely with the Accounting department to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Support the on-boarding of new payment products/options as well as of new providers.
Requirements
Degree in Finance, Economics, Business or Mathematics
4-5 years of professional experience in data analysis within payments, fintech or e-commerce environments
Strong understanding of accounting processes and financial data analysis
Proven experience in large-scale data analysis under a top down/bottom up approach
Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with reporting and analytics tools (e.g. Qlik Sense, Looker, Python) is highly desirable.
Strong analytical mindset with solid business acumen and the ability to interpret complex database and identify key insights
Self-motivated with ability to take ownership in a fast growing environment
Strong ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects independently, meeting tight deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills with a can-do attitude and fluent command of English.
High level of responsibility & integrity combined with eagerness to work in a multicultural, international environment subject to continuous changes
