Principal Financial Analyst

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As a Principal Financial Analyst at Atotech (China) Chemicals Limited , you will be based in our Guangzhou plant to report to Senior Manager of FP&A .

You Will Make an Impact By:

1. POR & Forecasting

• Lead MSD annual budget, monthly & quarterly forecast, and mid-to-long term business planning processes, coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate submission.
• Review and validate the reasonableness and accuracy of revenue, gross profit, cost and expenses across all business units; ensure target rationality and alignment from top to bottom vs Guidance, historical and forecast.
• Track monthly/quarterly forecast/guidance vs actual variance, identify root causes and propose improvement initiatives.
• Maintain forecasting models and update relevant data regularly to ensure the reliability of forecasting results

2. Business Analysis & Reporting

• Assist in prepare monthly management reports and executive dashboards covering revenue, cost, gross profit, expenses, profitability, cash flow ,b/s and other key metrics.
• Conduct in-depth analysis on business drivers including volume, price, product mix and operational efficiency; identify business trends, potential risks and growth opportunities.
• Support the building and maintenance of financial models, assist in scenario analysis, sensitivity testing and investment evaluation.
• Collaborate and optimize report templates and improve reporting efficiency.

3.  Decision Support

• Provide financial feasibility analysis and resource allocation recommendations on decision making.
• Assist in conducting financial projection, return assessment and risk assessment for new business projects.
• Collaborate closely with Business Partners, Sales, Operations and Supply Chain teams; deliver real-time financial insights and drive business performance improvement.

4. Process Management & Other Responsibilities

• Optimize end-to-end budget, forecasting and reporting processes;
• drive system automation or AI tools to enhance work efficiency and data quality.
• Coordinate with financial teams (such as SSC, BP etc.) to ensure the consistency and accuracy of financial data.

Skills You Bring:
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, business informatics or any relevant skills. Master’s degree preferred, CPA/ACCA/CMA/CFA holder preferred
• 5+ years of related experience with at least 3 years in FP&A supervisor / managerial role

Preferred Skills:
• Proficient in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial modeling
• Familiar with PRC GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP, proven experience in consolidated financial statements
• Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, SAP and Orcale

• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial data to business insights, capable to multi-tasking and deliver high quality outputs under tight deadlines
