Intern – Planning:  This role entails supporting manufacturing of Li-S cells. In addition, there will be projects assigned to them for completion during their internship.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross functional teams of design, quality, program management, supply chain and operations to support Creating a planning and scheduling DB.
• Understand planning interaction and data storage and retrieval needs then setting up right procedures to maintain.
• Solve problems and make data driven decisions.
• Be the primary point of contact in planning on the following projects.
  • Creating a DB for data storage for planning.
  • Creating a template/script method to reliably store and retrieve planning data.
  • Maintain a Plan For Every Part (PFEP) log for Battery and CAM components, in coordination with DG storage limits per fire protection code.
  • Streamline the parcel shipping process with small parcel carriers (USPS, FedEx, UPS, DHL) for better productivity across the teams.
  • Build the bases for WMS and TMS requirements to work with IT on implementation.

Qualifications

• Interest in/actively pursuing an education in Chemistry, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related scientific/engineering field.
• Experience programing simple projects in any programming language: python, R, Rust, C++, javascript, html/css, etc.
• Basic understanding of calculus
• Basic understanding of statistics

Physical Work Requirements:

• Able to lift 25 lbs. and stand for many hours per day.

Compensations Range:

The expected base salary range for this position is between

$25.00 - $32.00

The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.

We generally do not negotiate on salary once we have made an offer.  The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise. New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.

In addition to base pay this position is eligible for tier based bonus and equity, healthcare, dental, vision, corporate discounts, paid holidays, PTO and sick time, 401K, employee relocation plan (if applicable)
