Job scope
High level purpose of function.
The Senior Director of IT & Security defines direction, establishes structure, and enables execution across the IT & Security function to support business objectives while ensuring alignment with group IT standards and strategy. The role empowers department leaders across Operations & Infrastructure, Business Systems, Data & AI, and Security to operate with clear ownership, autonomy, and accountability within a shared governance framework. Operating close to the business, the role ensures that technology capabilities are scalable, secure, and aligned with both regional, local, and group priorities and directions. Success in this role is measured by the strength and autonomy of the domain leadership team.
This role carries budget responsibility and operates within a matrix structure, reporting both to local management and global IT.

Key Responsibilities

- Strategy & Direction
Define and maintain IT & Security strategy, objectives, and roadmap aligned with business priorities and group standards - Domain Enablement & Alignment
Enable and support department managers, ensuring clear ownership, alignment, and effective collaboration across domains - Group Alignment & Governance
Ensure alignment with group IT architecture, policies, and ways of working, balancing local needs with global standards - Technology & Transformation
Drive digital and system-related transformation initiatives, ensuring scalable, integrated, and value-driven solutions - Operations Oversight
Ensure stable, secure, and efficient IT operations through clear accountability within the departments - Financial & Vendor Management
Oversee IT investments, vendor relationships, and sourcing to ensure value, cost control, and alignment with group frameworks - Organization & Culture
Build a strong, collaborative IT organization with clear accountability, fostering ownership, development, and engagement - Stakeholder Management & Communication
Maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders and group IT, ensuring transparency, alignment, and effective communication

Requirements
Educational background and previous experience required for the role.
Qualifications and experience
- Relevant academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in similar senior roles, preferably in international, multi-entity and matrix environments
- Background from manufacturing or other complex, business-critical operations, preferably in multi-site setups
- Proven track record of driving global business transformation initiatives
- Experience working within group IT structures, balancing local and corporate priorities
Specific skills
- Strong leadership with the ability to drive change and build high-performing teams
- Broad understanding of IT, data, enterprise architecture, and system integration
- Solid foundation in information security, risk management, and relevant regulations
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align technology with business priorities
- Experience in managing IT investments, vendors, and contracts to drive value and control cost
