Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be part of the Finance Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Lead and oversee all accounting operations at the site, including accounts payable, financial reporting, and internal controls in compliance with SOX requirements;
Ensure the timely preparation and delivery of accurate and complete financial statements and reports;
Manage and coordinate the annual site budgeting process, including forecasting and variance analysis;
Provide meaningful financial analysis and insights to support operational and strategic decisions;
Maintain and control financial systems access, including the authorization of user account creation, modification, and deletion;
Partner with site leadership and cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance on budgets, expenditures, and cost optimization;
Share insights, best practices, and key financial information with peers and senior management;
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to drive high performance and continuous improvement;
Monitor and enhance internal controls and financial processes to ensure efficiency and compliance
Perform other related duties as required.
5–7 years of progressive experience in a similar finance or controllership role;
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel;
Experience with JDE, SAP and SQL database systems;
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively;
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and schedule work effectively;
Demonstrated leadership capability, including coaching, mentoring, and developing teams;
CPA designation considered an asset;
Experience in heavy industry, manufacturing, or mining environments is preferred.
Your Work Schedule:
Schedule: 40 hours per week, at our Timmins Regional Office or one of our satellite offices in Kirkland Lake, and Sudbury.
