Substitute Teaching Assistant - Holmes Road Summer Program (K-2 and Jump Start)

Salary:  Hourly Rate per AGCEP Contract

Report Times:  9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.  
Daily Hours:  4 Paid
Work Year:  Summer
Supervisor:  Director of Elementary and Early Childhood Education

Minimum Requirements: 
Current GCSD Employee

Desired Qualifications: 
Experience working with students in grades Universal PreK, kindergarten, first grade, or second grade is desired;
Child-centered, developmentally appropriate approach to classroom support is desired;
Strong interpersonal skills;
Strong organizational skills;
Must be flexible, responsible, and dependable;
Daily attendance is expected.

Position Summary/Responsibilities: 
Provides direct instruction to individual students or small groups of students under the general supervision of a certified teacher in support of the instructional plan;
Provides teacher with information about students that will assist the teachers in the development of appropriate learning experiences;
Assists students in the use of available instructional resources; 
Utilizes their own special skills and abilities by assisting in instructional programs;
Assists teacher in related instructional work as required;
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
