Job Description
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Construction Manager to update, evaluate, and submit the Jabatan Kerja Raya Sarawak (JKRS) Dashboard and Monthly Progress Report.
- Assist the Construction Manager in the management of stakeholder engagement activities, involving the client, Local Authorities, and the local community.
- Work closely with the Construction Manager to jointly assess contractual matters with the Contract Department. Provide advice, compile relevant data, and make recommendations for approval by the Superintendent Officer (S.O.).
- Assist the Construction Manager in jointly assessing proposals from the Contract Department related to contractual issues. Compile reports and submit recommendations for approval by JKR Sarawak.
- Support the Construction Manager in conducting, leading, and managing site discussions to address construction-related issues and attend site meetings to resolve matters effectively.
- Collaborate with the Construction Manager to verify work completed by the Contractor and submit progress claims within the specified time frame for S.O. approval.
- Assist the Construction Manager in assessing and verifying documents provided by the Contractor to ensure their readiness.
- Verify the work program and monitor progress, both in terms of physical completion and financial aspects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or any related field.
- At least 5 years of working experience in the road construction and bridge.
- Understanding of civil engineering principles and maintenance practices.
- Knowledge of relevant engineering software and tools.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Remarks: Contract position until December 2026, renewable subject to performance review and approval.
