Description
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining a competitions strategy in line with FIFA/CAF/COSAFA requirements and best practices.
- Directing competition operations, including match officials, volunteers, logistics, venues, and match-day requirements.
- Ensuring fixture scheduling, competitions documentation, and competitions reporting are completed accurately
- and on time, in liaison with club licensing and technical functions.
- Managing risk, safeguarding integration, and regulatory compliance, including incident documentation and post-event
- evaluation.
- Overseeing operational planning for competitions, including venue setup, safety considerations, emergency
- response arrangements, and quality assurance.
- Coordinating competition-related stakeholder engagement, including internal departments and external
- partners (as applicable).
- Managing and monitoring programme delivery under relevant FIFA/CAF initiatives.
- Supporting continuous improvement through best-practice research and process improvement initiative.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Sports Management (or a relevant field).
- FIFA Certificate in Safeguarding (or equivalent), an added advantage.
- Masters Degree in Sports Management (an added advantage).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role and in a sporting organization, with proven exposure
- to competitions/event management and/or programme delivery.
- Strong innovative and transformational leadership capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
