Job Description
Our Company is currently seeking a self-motivated, hardworking Mechanical Designer to join our team in our Toronto office. Position: Mechanical Designer
Location: Downtown Toronto
Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000
Primary Objective: Responsible for the development and management of assigned project work during all phases, from inception through planning, design and construction, in accordance with the project scope, schedule and budget. Responsible for completing the construction administration for projects including site visits and construction meetings.
Responsibilities: The Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:
Assist with the preparation of drawings, BIM models and schematics for mechanical systems, including HVAC, Plumbing and fire protection
Coordinate with other consulting disciplines to ensure drawing integrity and completeness, including electrical, architectural and Structural disciplines
Work with project team and Project Manager to ensure on-time project completion
Escalate resource issues to the appropriate Project Manager
Review architectural and structural drawings
Work with contractors and respond to technical inquiries
Provide technical and administrative support through all phases of the project
Help establish and promote client relationships
Strive to ensure quality and timely delivery of finished products to clients
Overtime as required
Qualifications, Experience and Education:
Minimum 0-2 year of relevant engineering experience, new graduates are encouraged to apply!
Completion of a University Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
Familiar with AutoCAD with a proven aptitude to effectively utilize similar design programs
Familiarity with Revit MEP is an asset
Background developing construction documents is an asset
Familiar with bid and tendering process is an asset
Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, and Word
Experience working with customers and client base is an asset
Experience working in a team based environment
