Product Owner - Payments Transformation

You will take ownership of a critical product, working across teams to design solutions that are secure, scalable and easy to use. This is a permanent full-time role based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland). 
 

Ngā Mahi Hei Whakatutuki Māu | What You'll Do 
 
• Define and deliver the payments product vision and roadmap, aligning priorities to customer needs, transformation goals and long term business outcomes. 
• Lead backlog management and prioritisation across payments squads, ensuring delivery focuses on value, efficiency and improved customer experiences. 
• Design and evolve payments capabilities across the technology stack, including payment methods, processing, integrations, controls and reconciliation. 
• Partner closely with finance, operations and technology teams to deliver solutions that are accurate, compliant, resilient and operationally effective 
• Manage dependencies, risks and delivery milestones, ensuring progress is transparent and aligned across squads and stakeholders 
• Drive continuous improvement by embedding customer centric thinking, using insights and data to refine payments experiences and outcomes 
 

Ōu Pūkenga me ōu Wheako | What You'll Bring 
 
• Experience as a Product Owner or in digital product delivery, ideally within payments, finance systems or transformation environments 
• Strong ability to own and deliver product roadmaps aligned to strategic and customer outcomes. 
• Understanding of payments ecosystems, including processing, integrations, controls and reconciliation concepts 
• Experience working in agile environments, managing priorities and navigating complexity across multiple teams. 
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across finance, technology and operational teams 
• A proactive mindset with strong problem solving skills, able to translate business needs into clear, practical product outcomes
