Job Description

• ​Assists Mechanics, Electricians, and Electromechanical personnel in performances of their duties, such as changing light bulbs, performing basic equipment inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment (e. g record gauge readings; simple lubrication tasks).

• Loads and unloads supplies manually and with forklift. Performs general clean up work and snow removal, as needed.

• Moves items such as office furniture. Sweeps and scrubs floors may require strip and wax floors, as required.

• Dusts desks or equipment and cleans windows. Empties waste basket, scrap cans or scarp boxes. Carries or wheels waste containers to designated dumping or burning area.

• Transports scrap to proper bins. Cleans lavatories, toilets and urinals.  Renews supplies of soap, paper towels, drinking cups and toilet paper.

• Qualified candidate does any janitorial work necessary in connection with plant operation.

• Exercises all safety precautions.  Works in exposure areas.  Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements for the role:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
