Job Overview:

Oliver Wyman is seeking a FP&A Lead with a strong finance foundation and advanced analytical and technical skills to join its Corporate FP&A team. This role combines deep expense analytics, reporting ownership, automation, and actionable insights to help the business manage expenses and support strategic decision-making. The FP&A Lead will ensure the accuracy of reporting data, collaborate with the team to design and maintain the automated reporting dashboards, and lead AI-driven projects. This role requires a high degree of independence, proactive identification of opportunities and risks, and a focus on driving process and reporting improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Monthly Reporting and Analysis

  • Lead monthly expense reporting for stakeholders, emphasizing clear analysis, insights, and recommended actions.

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand variances, evaluate trade-offs, and support active management of departmental expense against budget/forecast.

  • Coordinate monthly close activities with local controllers to ensure accurate expense coding, timely accruals, and appropriate cost center alignment.

  • Prepare and deliver materials that clearly communicate performance trends, drivers, risks, and opportunities to influence decision-making.

  • Manage non-billable project codes and approval matrix for our procurement system.

Forecasting, Budgeting and Planning

  • Own key components of periodic forecasting cycles and the annual budget/planning process for assigned functions/regions.

  • Build and enhance financial models to improve forecasting accuracy and enable scenario analyses.

  • Support resource planning and expense management discussions by translating business assumptions into financial impacts and actionable recommendations.

  • Drive efficient monthly forecasting of function expenses by incorporating AI and other automation.

Data Visualization and Reporting Automation

  • Design, build, and maintain automated BI dashboards and published data sources.

  • Mentor and provide technical review and training for FP&A Analysts; coordinate workstreams and ensure quality of deliverables.

  • Lead AI projects from ideation through production: define business cases, coordinate modeling, validate outputs, and operationalize results into reporting.

  • Partner with Data & Analytics and Tech to prioritize data needs, establish refresh cadence, and troubleshoot downstream issues.

Special Projects as needed

  • Provide support and analysis for all special projects as needed, including efficiency initiatives, restructuring initiatives, process improvements, management of project codes etc.

  • Contribute to best practices and knowledge sharing across the FP&A team; may mentor or provide day-to-day guidance to junior analysts on deliverables and methods.

Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent.

  • Advanced experience with Tableau and Tableau Prep and/or other BI Tools, data visualization etc..

  • 6+ years of progressive FP&A experience, ideally in a multi-national professional services environment.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to influence senior stakeholders.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (modeling, data manipulation, structured analysis).

  • Experience with enterprise financial systems and planning tools (e.g., Oracle, SmartView, Oracle EPM, Hyperion Planning) strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in AI and automation for finance and a willingness to apply/scale automation to improve reporting, forecasting, and operational efficiency.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a high degree of ownership.

  • Proven experience leading analytics or automation projects end-to-end.

  • Strong experience with budgeting and forecasting, P&L analysis, and cost allocations; ability to explain drivers and implications to non-finance partners.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Strong initiative to learn, grow, and expand responsibilities; proactive problem-solver who can work independently and escalate appropriately.

  • Track record of creating operational efficiencies through report automation, financial modeling, and improved forecasting/planning processes.

  • Strong analytical and accounting/financial planning background with the ability to translate data into clear business narratives.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $115,000 to $140,000.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
