Overview
A Senior Structural Designer supports engineers by creating accurate 2D drawings and 3D models for concrete and steel structures, generating material take-offs, and ensuring designs meet specifications, typically requiring 8+ years of experience and strong skills in tools like AutoCAD, Revit, or SmartPlant 3D.
Your role
- Produce 3D models using Revit, Advanced Steel, or SmartPlant 3D and generate 2D drawings from the 3D model
- Prepare 2D drawings using AutoCAD or MicroStation
- Develop 2D drawings for structural and foundation plans, sections, and elevations based on engineer design sketches
- Develop detailed drawings as per engineering design requirements
- Prepare material take-offs from 3D models and/or drawings
- Review sketches, drawings, specifications, and engineering data from engineers to ensure alignment with design concepts
- Perform other related duties as required
About you
- College certification or a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Structural specialization preferred but not required)
- 3-5 years of experience in structural design and drafting
- Experience in 2D and 3D design of concrete foundations, concrete structures, and steel structures
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or SmartPlant 3D
- Excellent communication skills in French and ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
