Job Description
Design specific infrastructure solutions to support the broader technical architecture of how servers, networks, and storage systems work together to support the needs of the organization. Ensure that security, business operations, and business requirements are taken into account. Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical roadmaps, monitor infrastructure performance, and suggest improvements where necessary.
Responsibilities:
1) Infrastructure and Network Development and Maintenance: Design and select medium-complexity storage, data center, network, and client/server environments to design solutions in line with industry best practice and provide a third-line point of escalation for appropriate global infrastructure solutions.
2) Faults Diagnosis and Correction: Provide fault isolation and resolution for complex challenges to limit and address issues promptly.
3) Enterprise Infrastructure Modernization: Deliver digital solution architecture services as assigned, preparing conceptual and logical architecture diagrams to align technical direction and document future-state architectures.
4) Analysis of "As Is" and "To Be": Support and contribute to the documentation of "as is" and "to be" processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the "to be" capability to record accurately the change required.
5) Testing Information Technology (IT) Performance: Perform website/applications software tests and respond to user emails to monitor, diagnose, and correct performance issues.
6) Technical Developments Recommendation: Research and suggest technical developments to improve the quality of the website/portal/software and supporting infrastructure to better meet users� needs.
7) Information Security: Implement required security measures, such as firewalls or message encryption, monitoring performance to notify security experts of any problems.
8) Horizon Scanning: Explore and develop a basic understanding of external developments or emerging issues and contribute to the evaluation of their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organization.
9) Information and Business Advice: Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes and the related policies, referring issues to others where necessary for interpretation of policy.
10) Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level
General Experience Requirement: Experience enables job holder to deal with the majority of situations and to advise others (Over 3 years to 6 years)
Managerial Experience Requirement: Very limited (0 to 3 months)
