Aircraft Maintenance and Technical Documentation Engineer on Auto-Pilot systems (ATA22) - M/F

Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Technical Documentation Engineer (f/m) to join our Operational Unit "Technical Data Support and Services" based in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of a team developing aircraft maintenance documentation directly used by customers (airlines, MRO, lessors). As part of the Auto-Pilot system perimeter team, you will be involved in documenting the impact of design changes in Technical Data Manuals aiming at providing customized documentation in accordance with aircraft configuration and securing airworthiness requirements.

Your challenges:

Your mission will be to undertake this challenge to fully answer customer maintenance needs. 

You will be responsible for the Auto-Pilot system perimeters for Airbus programs (IPC, AMM, and TSM) and will manage the following activities:

- Authoring: 

• Manage authoring activities related to the IPC, AMM & TSM, ensuring on-time delivery, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

• Analysis of Airbus Design Office Data (drawings & design modifications...) to define the impact on the maintenance manuals delivered to the airlines,

• Monitor and steer subcontracted maintenance authoring activities,

• Be accountable for the delivery of documentation content (creation and updates) in accordance with specifications, contractual commitments, approved schedules, quality standards and within budget objectives.

• Secure fulfilment of Safety rules, Quality process and Technical Data guidelines,

• Identify and escalate any risk related to priority, cost and quality.

• Propose a continuous improvement plan for Technical Data processes, documentation production activities, and IT Tools.

- ​Customer support:

• Ensuring Customer efficient support by answering daily customer queries and implementation of maintenance instructions changes when necessary,

• Ensuring Customer support respecting the defined performance requirements,

• Participate in meetings with customers when necessary.

- Transverse Tech Data activity(ies)

• On this position, you will have also to contribute to transverse Tech Data activity(ies), such as Product Leader Delegate role, Focal Point for transverse external interface, contribution to TD project, etc...

Your boarding pass:

• Bac+5 degree with a first experience in maintenance in the aeronautics field

• Knowledge of Aeronautics, Aircraft Maintenance and Aircraft Systems (Flight controls, Auto-Pilot),

• Knowledge of Technical documentation and Technical Data Authoring,

• Knowledge on Configuration Management,

• ​Customer support experience.

• SAP tool,

• Dynamic, Proactive with a Positive mindset,

• Good team player and good organizational skills,

• Communication skills and assertiveness,

• Advanced level in English (C1 level),

• Project Management.
