Minimum Requirements:
Current GCSD employee
Desired Qualifications:
Inner Explorer Training: Must have successfully completed the official training program for Inner Explorer curricula and platforms.
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is highly preferred.
Youth & Family Engagement: Minimum of 2�3 years of experience teaching mindfulness, yoga, or social-emotional learning (SEL) directly to children and families.
Adult Facilitation: Proven track record of designing and leading professional development workshops, retreats, or wellness seminars specifically for educators, school staff, or families.
Event Management: Experience helping coordinate, host, or manage logistics for community events, retreats, or large group gatherings.
Dynamic Facilitation & Engagement: Proven ability to design and lead experiential, age-appropriate mindfulness activities that captivate young children, while seamlessly shifting gears to deliver deeply resonant, professional-grade workshops for school staff.
Empathetic & Inclusive Communication: Exceptional emotional intelligence with a natural capacity to create a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental space for diverse families and stressed professionals alike.
Embodied Practice: A deep, personal commitment to mindfulness that translates into an authentic ability to co-regulate with participants and model stress-reduction techniques in real-time.
Adaptability & Collaboration: Highly resourceful and flexible, capable of managing the logistical and energetic flow of both high-energy family events and quiet, introspective educator retreats.
Position Summary/Responsibilities:
Lead Family Events: Plan, facilitate, and host engaging community and family events that introduce mindfulness, emotional regulation, and stress-reduction techniques through interactive, age-appropriate activities.
Facilitate Saturday Educator Retreats: Design and lead high-quality, restorative mindfulness retreats on Saturdays specifically tailored for educators and school staff, offering them a safe space to recharge and combat burnout.
Implement Inner Explorer Program: Serve as the internal champion and primary facilitator for the Inner Explorer curriculum, ensuring its daily or event-based practices are integrated effectively and seamlessly for participants.
