Hospice Volunteer

Legacy at Home is seeking compassionate, caring volunteers to join our Hospice team. As a Hospice Volunteer, you will provide valuable support to patients and their families, offering companionship, comfort, and a listening ear during a sensitive time.
What you’ll do:
- Visit patients in their homes, nursing facilities, or assisted living communities
- Provide companionship through conversation, reading, music, or simply being present
- Support family members by giving them a break or emotional support
- Assist with light errands or administrative tasks (optional, depending on volunteer preferences)
- Honor and respect the dignity and beliefs of each patient
Who you are:
- Kind, patient, and empathetic
- A good listener and communicator
- Comfortable working with individuals at end of life
- At least 18 years old
- Able to complete a short training and background check
