Driver (PRN)
The Legacy Midtown Park
The Driver PRN is responsible for interacting in a courteous and friendly manner with guests, residents, and staff. They also assist with transporting residents within and outside the community.
- Drives vehicle from community area to destination according to assigned schedule.
- Assists disabled passengers into and out of vehicle.
- Secures passengers’ wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during the trip.
- Operates radio or similar device to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service.
- Cleans and services vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Meets all Department of Transportation requirements.
Educational Requirements and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Texas driver’s license and automobile liability insurance required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a senior living setting.
- Ability to communicate effectively, speaking the primary language of the residents.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, road signs, and procedure manuals.
- Concierge Services Manager and Transportation Coordinator
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
- Expresses or demonstrates an interest in working with a senior population.
- Interacts with guests, residents, and staff in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Possesses good telephone communication skills.
- Ability to respond promptly to resident needs.
- Balances team and individual responsibilities.
