Patterson is at a turning point. We’re moving past simple growth and into a phase of true evolution. Because of that, we’re looking for a leader who sees the bigger picture. In this role, you aren’t just managing a facility; you’re overseeing the final, most important step of a customer’s journey. For us, a delivery isn’t just a box on a truck—it’s the centerpiece of someone’s home, and we need a leader who treats it with that level of significance.

This, of course, will grow with the expansion!
- A Win Together and Ownership Mindset: You treat the Patterson facility as if it were your own business. You celebrate the wins of your team and take personal accountability for the challenges.
- The Ability to Do Things Differently: We aren’t looking for "how it’s always been done." You bring a fresh, analytical perspective to logistics, finding creative ways to improve the flow of goods from port to porch.
- A Deep Customer Obsession: You understand that every operational decision—from drayage efficiency to warehouse packing—ultimately impacts the person sitting on that new sofa.
- An Entrepreneurial Attitude: You have the business acumen to pivot and juggle multiple priorities. You can balance high-level strategic planning for our expansion with the "boots on the ground" reality of a busy fulfillment center.
- A Talent for Building: You have a proven track record of recruiting, developing, and inspiring diverse teams. You don’t just fill seats; you build a culture where people want to grow.
- The Article Way: You will train at one of our established Fulfillment Centers (typically for 2 weeks). This is where you’ll learn our systems, soak up our culture, and see "Remarkable Experiences" in action before leading the charge in Patterson.
What You’ll Do:
- Scale our Largest Hub: Own the end-to-end operations for our largest fulfillment center, seamlessly integrating warehouse and drayage functions with an ownership mindset.
- Architect a High-Performing Team: Lead the full talent lifecycle—recruiting, onboarding, and training—to build a world-class team from the ground up.
- Develop Future Leaders: Directly manage and mentor a leadership tier of 3–6 Supervisors/Managers, focusing on robust succession planning and professional growth for a total team of 40+.
- Drive Data-Backed Results: Monitor and report on complex KPIs across safety, customer experience, and productivity to ensure we are constantly "sharpening the saw."
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal departments to launch new initiatives and resolve regional logistics challenges with speed and precision.
- Champion Safety & Compliance: Foster a "Safety First" culture by ensuring strict adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, including vehicle and driver log oversight.
- Operational Stewardship: Oversee regional procurement, vendor relationships, and labor management (including payroll and overtime) to ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Problem Solve with Urgency: Investigate and act on safety or customer service bottlenecks to maintain the "Remarkable Experience" our customers expect.
Who You Are:
- A Decade of Scale: 10+ years of leadership in high-volume Warehousing or Logistics. You’ve successfully navigated the complexities of managing 500k+ sq. ft. of space and teams of 30+ associates.
- Transportation Mastery: 10+ years of experience managing drivers and fleet equipment, with a rock-solid understanding of DOT regulations and compliance.
- Operational Precision: A proven track record in inventory control and process optimization. You don't just follow workflows; you refine them.
- Tech-Savvy Leadership: High proficiency with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and the Google/Microsoft Office suites to drive data-informed decisions.
- Relational Intelligence: Exceptional interpersonal skills. You’re as comfortable partnering with executive stakeholders as you are coaching your team on the floor.
- The Expansion Mindset: You are highly organized, process-oriented, and possess the "entrepreneurial grit" to juggle multiple priorities during a major site expansion.
- Communication Excellence: Professional fluency in English (written and verbal) to lead meetings, draft reports, and represent Article locally.
