About the Role We are looking for a highly motivated Category & Merchant Growth Manager to accelerate growth for our Art and Nature team (Crystal, Plants, Art and Antiques categories.) The ideal candidate will combine category strategy, merchant operations, supply judgment, and content-driven commerce to build a scalable and healthy category ecosystem.
This role requires strong ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to work directly with merchants to unlock growth through content, assortments, pricing, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Define category strategy, assortment roadmap, and merchant structure based on supply, trends, and user behavior.
- Identify category gaps (supply, content, logistics, professionalism) and propose actionable programs.
- Build category-level frameworks for assortment planning, merchant segmentation, and lifecycle operations.
- Acquire and incubate merchants to support category growth; map and onboard strategic supply partners (greenhouses, crystal suppliers, artists/galleries, distributors, auction houses); drive activation, growth, retention, and operational health
- Diagnose merchant performance (assortment, content, conversion, delivery, pricing), and develop tailored growth plans.
- Guide merchants on TikTok-native content, short-form video, live shopping, and creator collaboration; and drive merchant adoption of tools (e.g. Auction features) and programs that enhance GMV and repeatability.
- Discover innovative collaborative models that align to the merchant's short-term and long-term development plans, and invest platform resources effectively and efficiently
- Solve key challenges in business growth by strong collaboration with cross-functional teams
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience in e-commerce, marketplace operations, category management, or merchant growth.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability; comfort with metrics, funnels, segmentation, and GMV decomposition.
- Proven ability to influence merchants and drive execution in fast-paced environments.
- Deep familiarity with TikTok content formats (short video & live), creator ecosystem, and user behavior.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to work cross-functionally.
- Strong owner mindset, with willingness to move between strategy and hands-on operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in specialty verticals such as Crystals, Plants, or Art
- Experience in fast-growing marketplaces
- Experience with live commerce or creator/influencer partnerships
