Fuel Laboratory Technician
Location: Pueblo, CO | World Fuel
Pay: $17/hr plus benefits
About the Role
We are seeking a Fuel Laboratory Technician to join our team in Pueblo, CO. This role is based in an industrial plant environment and plays a critical part in ensuring the quality and integrity of petroleum products.
In this hands-on position, you will support the blending, batching, sampling, and testing of fuels, helping ensure our products meet strict industry and regulatory standards. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and enjoys both lab and operational work.
What You’ll Do
- Transfer petroleum products between blend and batch tanks
- Collect fuel samples following established procedures
- Perform laboratory testing to verify product quality and compliance
- Operate and maintain lab equipment
- Record, analyze, and report test results with a high degree of accuracy
- Calculate blend ratios and support batching processes
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards
- Collaborate with team members while also working independently in a fast-paced environment
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Basic math skills and comfort with calculations
- Ability to follow written procedures and work independently
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred:
- Prior experience in a laboratory, chemical, or industrial environment
- Basic knowledge of chemistry or fuel testing
