Job Description Summary

Service Stream is look for an experienced Spiral Wound Relining Foreman lead and manage our Spiral Relining Crew as we continue to grow our capabilities and capacity across the industry.

About the Role

The Spiral Wound Relining Foreman is responsible for the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of spiral wound sewer and drainage rehabilitation projects. The role provides day-to-day leadership of site crews, subcontractors and specialist plant operators to ensure works are completed in accordance with project specifications, quality requirements, client standards and company procedures.

The Foreman is accountable for coordinating site activities, maintaining productivity, managing risks, ensuring quality outcomes, and fostering a strong safety culture while delivering projects on time and within budget.

You will have the industry experience to oversee, lead & run a crew with limited support required from the Supervisor. You will work with the Project Engineers / Project Managers to plan, deliver, and execute the project as well as train and develop your direct reports on the crew.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Lead and promote a positive safety culture across all project activities.
    • Ensure compliance with company HSEQ requirements, SWMS, permits, environmental controls and client specifications.
    • Conduct daily pre-starts, toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
    • Monitor and manage high-risk activities including confined space entry, traffic management, bypass pumping and lifting operations.
    • Ensure incidents, hazards and near misses are reported and investigated in accordance with company requirements.
  • Project Delivery
    • Plan, coordinate and supervise spiral wound relining activities from mobilisation through to completion.
    • Manage day-to-day site operations to achieve program, quality and productivity targets.
    • Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution.
    • Monitor project progress and identify opportunities to improve productivity and minimise delays.
    • Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, clients and stakeholders regarding project requirements and progress.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Ensure all spiral wound liner installations are completed in accordance with approved designs, manufacturer requirements and project specifications.
    • Verify that inspections, testing and quality records are completed and maintained.
    • Monitor workmanship standards and implement corrective actions where required.
    • Assist in the preparation and close-out of project documentation, including ITPs, NCRs and as-built records.
  • Leadership & Team Management
    • Provide leadership, mentoring and technical guidance to site personnel.
    • Allocate tasks and responsibilities to crew members.
    • Develop workforce capability through coaching and on-the-job training.
    • Promote teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement.
    • Manage crew performance and provide feedback to management regarding personnel development requirements.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management
    • Maintain professional relationships with clients, regulators, residents and other stakeholders.
    • Participate in site meetings and client inspections as required.
    • Ensure customer impacts are minimised, and site presentation is maintained to a high standard.

About You

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in civil, water, wastewater or trenchless rehabilitation works.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising sewer rehabilitation or pipeline renewal projects.
  • Proven experience delivering spiral wound relining installations, including operation of winding equipment and associated ancillary systems.
  • Experience managing confined space entry, bypass pumping and sewer network operations.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors, plant and labour resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple work fronts while maintaining safety, quality and productivity outcomes.
  • Experience working within utility infrastructure environments and client-driven delivery frameworks.
  • Ability to lead and manage teams.
  • Ability to deal diligently, patiently, and professionally with internal stakeholders, clients, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
  • Initiative-taker, able to determine own priorities and manage work accordingly.
  • Analytical with ability to identify and suggest areas for process improvement and drive efficiency.
