The main responsibility of this position is to deliver quantifiable improvement results in the form of Quality, Safety, Delivery & Cost within assigned Value Stream.
About the job:
- Utilizing Value Stream Mapping, drive continuous improvement across Production/Administration processes in the areas of Quality, Safety, Delivery & Cost through Kaizens & Lean Six Sigma projects.
- Provide leadership in the execution of projects within the assigned Value Stream. Provide project expertise in the form of Lean Six Sigma tools & methodologies. Review and monitor project progress to assure quality and adherence to project and company objectives.
- Mentor Lean Small Group Activities, projects & events
- Support a Lean specialty sub-committee, and become a Subject Matter Expert in the focused area.
- Personal development through LF training, self-improvement research, and benchmarking / networking activities.
About you:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in a Lean Six Sigma capacity
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong ability to communicate across different levels and across departments of the organization
- Strong mathematical aptitude
- Strong project management skills
- Strong systems perspective
- Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt certification or ability to achieve within LF in 18-months
- Demonstrated experience in applying Lean Six Sigma tools & concepts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- MS Office, including MS Project
- Minitab an advantage
