Job Title: Lead Behavioral Health Technician

Location: St. Charles, Missouri
Department: Recovery Services
Employment Type: Full‑Time
Schedule: Four 10‑Hour Shifts - Overnight & Evening shifts available
Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour

Are you passionate about behavioral health and ready to take the next step in your career? Join our Recovery Services team as a Lead Behavioral Health Technician, where you’ll combine hands‑on client support with leadership responsibilities in a meaningful, mission‑driven role.

As a Lead BHT, you’ll play a key role in creating a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for individuals on their recovery journey. You will provide guidance and support to Behavioral Health Technicians on your shift while collaborating closely with the treatment team to ensure high‑quality care and continuity. This position is ideal for someone who leads by example, communicates effectively, and is committed to making a positive impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the lead Behavioral Health Technician on your shift, providing guidance, direction, and support to team members

  • Oversee daily client activities to ensure safety, structure, and adherence to program expectations

  • Communicate relevant client behaviors, concerns, and progress to the treatment team

  • Assist with client orientation, including education on client rights and program rules

  • Support crisis de‑escalation efforts under the direction of supervisory staff

  • Complete accurate and timely documentation related to client behavior and progress

  • Monitor and screen detoxification clients to ensure safety and recovery needs are met

  • Provide client transportation as needed

  • Assist in training and supervising Behavioral Health Technicians

  • Facilitate Behavioral Health Technician meetings as scheduled

  • Prepare or assist with group education materials

  • Complete all required trainings within established timeframes

Education & Experience (One of the following):

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling, psychology, psychiatric nursing, or a closely related field
    OR

  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of two (2) years of responsible employment history

Additional Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age to operate a company‑owned vehicle

  • Must be at least 23 years of age to operate a company‑owned 15‑passenger van

  • Valid driver’s license in state of residence with an acceptable driving record
