The role will be based in HK with the expectation of a hybrid work model.

PineBridge Investments is seeking a VP/SVP of International Insurance Solutions as part of our Global Insurance Solutions team. This person will be a key member of our team, partnering with the Business Development, Client Relations and Portfolio Management teams to develop strategic and competitive solutions to address the needs of our insurance company clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with local sales teams across APAC and EMEA to drive growth and deepen strategic client relationships across multiple touchpoints, with a focus on delivering innovative investment solutions for under-utilized insurance balance sheets.
  • Develop and deliver insurance-focused investment solutions aligned with local regulatory capital, tax, and currency requirements.
  • Create analytical tools and perform relative value analyses to demonstrate the commercial and portfolio benefits of various investment strategies.
  • Support business development and client acquisition efforts through insurance peer studies, asset allocation recommendations, and market intelligence gathering.
  • Originate, structure, and execute insurance-friendly investment solutions offering attractive risk/reward tradeoffs across multiple APAC and EMEA regulatory regimes.
  • Support the development and launch of differentiated insurance-focused fund vehicles across public and private fixed income markets.
  • Manage relationships with rating agencies and insurance regulators across local jurisdictions to support commercial initiatives and market expansion.
  • Monitor relevant regulatory, accounting, and rating agency developments impacting insurance investment strategies.
  • Author insurance-oriented thought leadership and market insights to support client engagement and business growth.
  • Support broader sales, client relationship management, and strategic growth initiatives on an ad hoc basis.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of investment products (private and public), insurance balance sheets, regulatory regimes, and accounting considerations across APAC and EMEA markets.
  • Analytical and research capabilities related to capital treatment, financial reporting, and portfolio modeling.
  • Familiarity with fundraising vehicles (rated feeders, CFOs, and CLOs) and tax strategies. Ability to think strategically including delivering multi‑strategy solutions and strategic partnerships.
  • Client-facing, effective communication skills. Ability to articulate sophisticated investment strategies in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross‑functionally with sales and investment teams across regions.
  • Reliable, nimble, and outcome oriented. Ability to prioritize and lead multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of professional experience in insurance asset management, consulting or accounting firms, rating agencies, regulatory institutions, or related areas
  • Demonstrated track record working with life insurers, non‑life insurers, and reinsurers across APAC and EMEA markets.
  • Background in supporting the launch and scaling of insurance‑specific investment vehicles.
  • Experience in leveraging regulatory changes and market trends to create differentiated investment opportunities for insurance investors.
  • Familiar with a variety of analytical and A.I. tools to enhance productivity.
  • Professional designations are useful but not essential.
