The role will be based in Melbourne with the expectation of a hybrid work model.
PineBridge Investments is seeking a Head of Wealth Distribution to lead PineBridge’s intermediated wealth distribution strategy and execution in Australia, building sustainable net flows across priority channels (private wealth / advice licensees, platforms & research houses, private banks, family offices).
Primary Responsibilities:
Distribution Strategy & Market Development
- Own and execute the three-year distribution strategy across Australia’s intermediary market.
- Define target segments (HNW, licensees, private banks, family offices) and product priorities by channel.
- Drive managed accounts / SMA strategy in partnership with Investments and Product.
- Translate strategy into annual plans with clear targets, coverage, call cycles, and key account focus.
Sales Execution & Commercial Outcomes
- Actively originate, pursue, and close new business across advice licensees and wealth firms.
- Personally manage and grow strategic accounts to increase penetration and share of wallet.
- Deliver AUM and net flow targets with disciplined pipeline management and forecasting.
- Apply commercial judgement on pricing, platform economics, and bespoke mandates within governance.
Platforms, Research & Product Enablement
- Drive engagement with platforms, research houses, and consultants to improve access and positioning.
- Work closely with Product, Investments, and Marketing to support approvals, ratings, and APL inclusion.
- Ensure strategies are clearly positioned and effectively supported for advisers and platform partners.
- Contribute hands-on to product launches and enhancements aligned to market demand.
Marketing, Brand & Thought Leadership
- Act as a senior external representative, delivering presentations and participating in industry forums.
- Partner with Marketing to execute targeted, compliant campaigns with measurable outcomes
Risk, Conduct & Governance (Australia)
- Ensure all distribution activity aligns with regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.
- Work closely with Compliance, Legal, and Risk on adviser engagement, product launches, and platform activity.
- Maintain strong conduct standards and proactively manage and escalate risks when required.
Team Contribution & Capability
- Lead from the front with active client engagement while supporting team performance and development.
- Contribute to building team capability in portfolio construction, market insight, and client engagement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in asset or wealth management (or related financial services), with deep, hands-on exposure to intermediary and wealth distribution.
- 7–10 years’ experience in leadership roles with a strong “player‑coach” approach—setting strategy while actively driving client engagement, origination, and execution.
- Demonstrated experience in the Australian intermediary market, with direct, personal engagement across financial advisers, private wealth firms, dealer groups, platforms, and research houses.
- Proven ability to originate and close opportunities, alongside managing senior stakeholder relationships and contributing to team performance.
- Broad investment product knowledge (e.g. multi-asset, equities, fixed income, alternatives) with the ability to clearly articulate investment propositions in client-facing settings.
- Track record of working cross-functionally with Investments, Product, Marketing, Compliance, and Operations to deliver practical, go-to-market outcomes.
- Tertiary qualifications in finance, economics, business, or a related discipline; relevant professional certifications are advantageous.

- Clear, confident communication and presentation skills, including the ability to translate complex investment concepts into practical, adviser‑relevant messaging.
- Strategic mindset combined with hands‑on execution, balancing long‑term market development with near‑term delivery and pipeline management.
- Collaborative leadership style, with the ability to influence and align local and global teams in a matrixed environment.
- Strong organisational and execution discipline, including effective use of CRM, reporting and forecasting tools.
