Your New Role...
Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) / HBO Max is looking for a creative, hands‑on Development Executive, Scripted – Nordics to support the development, commissioning, and delivery of standout original scripted series across the region. You will play a key role in shaping projects from early ideas through to production, working closely with senior leadership and creative partners to bring bold local stories to life. Your Role Accountabilities...
- Drive development intake by building and using a strong network of Nordic producers and positioning HBO Max as a partner of choice for high‑quality projects.
- Support scripted series from early concepts through scripts and greenlight, balancing creative ambition with production considerations.
- Review and assess ideas, treatments, and scripts, providing clear editorial feedback to strengthen story, character, and tone.
- Identify and develop projects with strong creative vision and audience potential, supporting greenlight discussions and materials.
- Plan and track development and production pipelines, ensuring alignment on timelines, quality expectations, and budget awareness.
- Collaborate closely with writers, directors, producers, and showrunners to refine projects and address creative or production challenges.
- Build strong relationships with production partners and collaborate across internal teams (Production, Legal, Finance, PR, Marketing, and Operations) to support effective delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
- Demonstrable background in scripted development and/or production within a streamer, broadcaster, or production company.
- Strong editorial judgement with a clear understanding of scripted storytelling and narrative structure from concept through to delivery.
- Proven ability to assess and champion projects aligned with brand, tone, and audience strategy.
- Knowledge of the Nordic creative landscape, with experience working across markets or in international environments.
- Fluency in English and at least one Nordic language.
