Job Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join Mercer Thailand Team. This role will be based in Bangkok. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:

  • Write and structure client presentations and reports that require a high degree of customization; develop exhibits and narrative that clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Perform advanced, dynamic Excel modelling and data analysis; draw defensible conclusions and prepare summaries for project managers’ and senior consultants’ review.
  • Review and validate Excel exhibits, PowerPoint slides, and initial conclusions prepared by analysts; ensure calculations, methodology and outputs are accurate and aligned with project objectives.
  • Develop and/or review methodologies used by the project team; oversee and quality-check analysts’ work and guide methodology development where required.
  • Manage small to medium client engagements or lead distinct workstreams on larger projects, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact for project areas including methodology clarification, data requests, data management and deliverable reviews.
  • Act as liaison between the project team and client secondary contacts (for example, compensation analysts); participate in client meetings, fact-finding interviews and final presentations.
  • Apply research skills and market tools to understand client financial performance, talent management trends, pay practices and policies within the client’s industry and the broader marketplace.
  • Use proprietary and public data sources (e.g., Mercer tools such as Global Disclosure Database and PayMonitor, public filings, industry reports) to gather pay practice data, generate survey statistics, and produce custom reports.
  • Develop and validate peer groups — lists of comparator organizations based on revenue, industry, brand or competitive relevance — and apply them in benchmarking exercises.
  • Support business development activities as needed by contributing to project scoping, plan development and pricing, and may lead internal process-improvement projects.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Human Resources, Finance or a related field.
  • Typically 3–6 years of relevant experience in compensation, total rewards, HR analytics, management consulting, or a related analytical HR function (levels may vary by role seniority).
  • Hands-on experience building advanced Excel models (pivot tables, lookups, dynamic formulas, VBA or advanced Excel functions preferred).
  • Strong experience creating client-ready PowerPoint presentations and exhibits.
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing and validating compensation and financial analyses; comfortable checking methodology and calculations for accuracy and defensibility.
  • Experience managing small projects or leading workstreams and coordinating analyst teams to meet deadlines
  • Client-focused mindset and professional presence for client meetings, interviews and presentations
  • Project management skills: prioritization, time management, and budget awareness.

Why join our team:

  • We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.
  • We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.
  • Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.
