Streetscape Maintenance Assistant
Job Description
About the Position
This position is responsible for the upkeep and aesthetic appeal of unkempt public spaces and streetscape areas across the City to the desired community outcomes and in accordance with the City’s guidelines and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
The duties of the Streetscape Maintenance Assistant will include but are not limited to:
- Undertaking maintenance of streetscapes and parks encompassing mowing, line trimming, edging, blower operation and litter and debris removal as directed by the Team Leader/Supervisor
- Collaborate with the Team Leader to complete tasks aligned with the Streetscape Maintenance Schedule
- Operating a range of equipment, observing correct operating and safety instructions
The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick all the boxes, you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered.
- Experience in turf maintenance including operating a ride on mower and line trimmer
- Interpersonal skills including but not limited to basic written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in operating and maintaining small plant
- Current drivers license
