The role
As a Senior Compliance Officer, you will take on a leading and substantively strong role within the compliance framework. You are an experienced discussion partner for senior stakeholders, act as a substantive point of reference within the team and actively contribute to policy development and strategic initiatives.
You combine in-depth expertise with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach and know how to translate complex regulatory requirements into workable and proportionate solutions for the organization.
Responsibilities
In this senior role, you operate with a high degree of autonomy and take on a guiding role within the second line of defense.
- Acting as a critical sparring partner for business and management in complex compliance and integrity issues
- Taking ownership of complex multi-stakeholder files, risks and regulatory frameworks
- Monitor compliance with relevant laws and regulations and translate them into clear, practical guidelines
- Proactively identifying compliance and integrity risks and developing well-founded positions
- Challenging existing principles and tackling them where necessary
- Actively contribute to the further development and maturity of the compliance function
- Participate in policy development, thematic reviews and impact analyses of new or amended regulations
- Independently lead projects from start to finish: from problem definition and stakeholder alignment to concrete recommendations
- Strengthening the compliance culture through knowledge sharing, guidance and awareness initiatives
- Representing Compliance in contacts with external parties such as regulators and auditors
Your profile
For this senior position, we are looking for an experienced professional with strong substantive and communication skills.
- At least 6 to 8 years of relevant experience within the financial sector, a substantial part of which is in Compliance or another second-line position
- In-depth knowledge of relevant CZ and EU laws and regulations
- Proven experience with complex cases, escalations and senior stakeholder management
- Experience with local regulatory bodies interactions
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, combined with a pragmatic mindset
- Able to work independently, make decisions and give direction in a dynamic context
- Excellent communication skills and strong powers of persuasion
- Fluent English, both orally and in writing
