Role Mission
As our Senior Accounting, Tax and AP Specialist in Romania, you will take full ownership of the end-to-end accounting cycle for the local market. Working hand-in-hand with our Financial Controller, you’ll master everything from Accounts Payable and Bank Reconciliations to complex Journals within NetSuite. The successful candidate will ensure seamless compliance with Romanian GAAP and tax regulations, liaise with our local accounting and tax advisors, manage our OTC analyst and master everything from accounts payable to bank reconciliations. This role is the financial backbone of our Romanian operations.
Key Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Accounting Ownership: Manage the end-to-end accounting process for the Romanian office, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up to date.
Operational Finance: Execute daily Accounts Payable (AP) operations and perform meticulous Bank Reconciliations to maintain a clear cash position.
Journal Management: Prepare and post essential journals, including accruals, amortizations, and periodifications, ensuring a precise month-end close.
Regulatory Compliance: Apply deep knowledge of the Romanian General Accounting Plan and local tax regulations to ensure 100% fiscal compliance.
System Mastery (NetSuite): Navigate and maintain the NetSuite ERP system, ensuring data integrity across all financial modules.
Cost & Campaign Integration: Track and link purchase orders (PO) to specific consultancy campaigns, providing a clear view of project costs and profitability.
Strategic Collaboration: Work "hand-in-hand" with the Financial Controller to support reporting requirements and optimize local financial workflows.
