Position Title: Human Resources Business Partner
Location: Upland Hills Health - Dodgeville, Wisconsin
Role & Department: Human Resources Business Partner in the Human Resources Department
Hours & Shift: Full-time (1.0 FTE) 40 hour per week position.
Role Responsibilities: The Human Resources Business Partner serves as an advisor to business leaders, aligning people strategies with organizational goals. This role blends advising, coaching, analytics, and hands‑on HR expertise to drive performance, strengthen culture, and support workforce planning. The HRBP acts as a trusted partner to leadership while ensuring compliance, equity, and a positive employee experience. Position reports to the VP of Human Resources.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to understand business objectives and develop HR strategies that support growth, productivity, and organizational effectiveness.
- Use workforce analytics to identify trends, diagnose issues, and recommend data‑driven solutions.
- Support organizational design, restructuring, and change‑management initiatives.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent resolution.
- Promote a culture of inclusion, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct investigations, coach managers, and ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies.
- Partner with leaders on performance management, succession planning, and talent reviews.
- Identify skill gaps and collaborate with Learning & Development to create targeted development plans.
- Support recruitment strategies by advising on workforce planning, role design, and candidate selection.
- Provide guidance on compensation decisions, job leveling, and internal equity.
- Provides Total Rewards advise to support annual compensation cycles and benefits education.
- Lead or support initiatives related to culture, engagement, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness.
- Coach leaders through change, helping teams adapt and thrive.
- Ensure HR processes are executed efficiently and accurately, including onboarding, offboarding, and policy updates.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including direct business‑partnering responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and build strong relationships.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP) preferred.
- Experience working in healthcare is preferred.
- Background in change management, organizational development, or leadership coaching preferred.
