Job Description
Process Engineer (Maternity Cover)
Help turn innovation into production
At BioMar Tech Center, we transform ideas into reality.
Our Tech Center is where new raw materials, process technologies and feed concepts are tested, challenged and developed before being implemented across BioMar globally. As a Process Engineer, you will play an important role in supporting this journey by helping ensure that development activities can be translated into successful pilot-scale production.
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an international R&D environment and work at the intersection of process technology, production and innovation.
Make a difference through pilot production and process development
As Process Engineer, you will support daily pilot production activities, process optimization and execution of development trials. You will work closely with scientists, operators, quality, raw materials, maintenance and colleagues across BioMar's Global Process Network.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Supporting pilot production and research feed trials
- Optimizing process parameters and production setup
- Participating in testing and implementation of new technologies
- Supporting troubleshooting and operational problem solving
- Contributing to safe, efficient and compliant operations in Tech Center
The role offers broad exposure to both operational and development activities and provides valuable insight into how new products and technologies are brought from concept to production.
Bring your curiosity and technical mindset
You are motivated by learning and enjoy understanding how raw materials, process parameters and production interact. You like being close to operations and are eager to develop your technical knowledge in a practical environment.
To succeed in the role, we imagine that you bring:
- An educational background within Process Engineering, Food Technology, Production Engineering or a related field
- An interest in process technology and production environments
- A structured and solution-oriented approach to your work
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- A commitment to safety and continuous improvement
Experience from feed production, food production, pilot plants, process optimization or R&D environments is an advantage but not a requirement.
Develop your skills in a unique R&D environment
This maternity cover offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in one of BioMar's most specialized environments.
You will work alongside experienced scientists, engineers and operators while building practical knowledge of pilot production, process technology and product development. The position provides significant hands-on responsibility, broad exposure across functions and the opportunity to contribute directly to future aquaculture solutions.
The position is a one-year maternity cover starting in August 2026.
