The Purchasing Office is searching for a capable and self-motivated individual to fill the role of Purchasing Officer. The appointee is required to provide administrative support to the daily office operation and undertake the procurement of goods and services for the University consistent with the established regulations and procedures. Duties include communicating with user departments on procurement matters; preparing tender documents, price summaries, contracts and purchase orders; liaising with vendors in the procurement of goods and services; analyzing procurement data and compiling reports; conducting testing for acceptance of systems; training users on use of new systems; and carrying out other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have a recognized degree with at least 2-3 years of work experience, preferably with procurement experience. The ideal candidate should have a proactive work attitude and the capability of multi-tasking. The incumbent should be a good team player with strong interpersonal skills. The ability to work independently, attention to details and a strong sense of responsibility are essential. A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and proficiency in Microsoft Office application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are required. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.  A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
