The Office of Mainland Affairs (OMA) at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) invites applications for the position of Assistant Manager. We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive individual to join our dynamic team and make significant contributions to our operations and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
As a valued member of the team, the Assistant Manager will be involved in:
- Supporting the daily operations of the office, including financial and administrative tasks.
- Planning, organizing, and execution of a variety of networking activities, high-level meetings, and events.
- Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to foster and expand educational and research partnerships in the Greater Bay Area (GBA) and beyond.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should possess:
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience in project management (candidates with more extensive experience are highly preferred).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
